We have a VTech Safe & Sound Monitor which I was very happy with and we still use it in addition to the video monitor we just got so we can still talk to our toddler. Other than that, we had a regular sound monitor until now. My only thing is it doesn't have an intercom where you can't talk to your baby. It comes with one camera, but you can get up to 4. It's a nice sized screen and it has night vision, sound, and it lights up when baby cries. The one I got is a Summer Infant In View Digital Monitor. I recently got it for my toddler who we recently transitioned to a toddler bed to make sure she's staying in bed. I have closed circuit monitor and it seems to work fine for our needs. Internet baby monitors seem like the ones that get hacked.
Anyone know what company/brand it was and if it has been fixed? I tried to research it more but haven't found much information on. There was a story on the news awhile back about people hacking into remote baby monitors. We had one false alarm around 5 months when she wiggled it off, and we discontinued use shortly after since it was not needed as much since she was so mobile by that point. It blinks green with every breath (which can be seen through a sleeper, and is reassuring to see when they are sleeping next to you in a bassinet). It clips on the diaper with a soft piece on their belly the detects slight breathing movements. It is a little pricey in addition to other monitors but beyond worth it if you ask me. I only use the video on my iPad occasionally and it makes me more stressed, but in infancy I prefer video.įor movement, we never used a mat but have the Snuza Halo and I cannot say enough great things about it. A friend of mine only ever used sound and said it was nice because every little movement you caught on the screen didn't make you think they were waking or needed you. I did buy the cloud baby monitor on Apple devices and it works great, we can even use it when we're away over wifi (logged in to maintain security). We've been using a sound only for a while. We started with a now discontinued Motorola that was great but I broke the monitor so DH just ordered a replacement.
